ClearlyIP Is Attending the March Educational Technology Conference in Wisconsin Dells

BrainStorm Conference

We’d love it if you would answer the pole at the end of this blog and let us know your top safety concerns in an emergency.

We’re taking a road trip to Wisconsin Dells! The ClearlyIP team is hitting the road again; this time, it’s to Wisconsin Dells from March 12th to the 14th to attend the BrainStorm Educational Technology Conference at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center. We’ll not only be exhibiting but also speaking at a breakout session. The topic is: Using Your Phone System to Enhance School and Campus Security (Education Sector Emergency Solutions). The session is on March 12, 2023, at Noon in Suite E.

So Why Brainstorm?

For the past 23+ years, BrainStorm has been an educational technology conference like no other! The goal of the BrainStorm Conference is for K20 techs to network with their counterparts from throughout the region and to connect with technology vendors who tailor their products for the K20 community. They focus strictly on the “tech” side of educational technology, where the attendees are Telecom and IT Directors, technology coordinators, network administrators, hardware technicians, and other positions within IT departments for schools ranging from pre-K through higher ed.

What Does ClearlyIP know About Emergency Monitoring and Reporting?

ClearlyIP offers specialized emergency monitoring and alerting solutions designed for educational organizations geared explicitly towards enhancing school and campus security. Our interest in Emergency Notification goes back to the start of ClearlyIP. We began by integrating a panic button function into our telephones and then making a physical button that could be placed discreetly. We then created CodeX, an emergency reporting and documenting system that allows rooms to be marked safe or unsafe in an emergency. This gives first responders the information they need when seconds count.

So What’s The Talk Going to Cover?

Any telecom administrator of schools or multi-room organizations needs to learn about our CodeX platform, silent intercom feature, and panic button solution that are affordable and easy to set up with a FreePBX-based telecom system or our ClearlyIP UCaaS platforms and CIP IP Desk Phones. Plus, we will inform how these tools can assist with compliance with the current telecom 911 laws; Alyssa’s Law, Ray Baum Act, and Kari’s Law.

With these new telecom laws to help better protect schools and campus security, IT Network and Telecom Managers of these organizations need to be aware of these laws, deadlines, and options to comply with them. If you specialize in school phone systems or want to, we invite you to join our Chief Executive Officer, Tony Lewis, to learn about these solutions that have been optimized to work with the open-source platform, FreePBX®. FreePBX is the most widely used open-source telecom platform globally and is often utilized for schools.

A Special Partner

We have partnered with Make Our Schools Safe, the organization behind Alyssa’a Law. So what is Alyssa’s Law? The description on the website states:

“Alyssa’s Law is critical legislation addressing the issue of law enforcement response time when a life-threatening emergency occurs because time equals life. The law calls for the installation of silent panic alarms that are directly linked to law enforcement, so in case of any emergency, they will get on the scene as quickly as possible, take down a threat, and triage any victims.”

In support of this vital initiative, ClearlyIP has promised to donate $10 from the sale of each ClearlyIP Panic Button to Make Our Schools Safe. If you want additional information about Make Our Schools Safe, click HERE.
